Swimwear for pregnant women
“Summer has already arrived, it’s already arrived and the party has begun, it has begun, it has begun…” How wonderful to be in summer, isn’t it?! One of everyone’s favorite times in general (and when the well-deserved holidays arrive, even more so!)
How are my pregnant women doing? I hope that I will be able to cope with the high temperatures as well as possible and soak for as long as they have.
There is no other way to bear it when you have a tremendous belly. Today I wanted to talk to you about a stylistic topic that can also be a headache for every pregnant woman: swimwear. Of course, showing off a baby bump is something wonderful and the image is tender and beautiful in equal parts. But it is also true that women like Gisele Bündchen (she is the goddess among goddesses, that’s why I always remember the first one on the list) and similar come to mind, who are very lucky enough to show off perfect pregnancies in which only an increase in the belly is appreciated (of course, without a single stretch mark on their flesh) and otherwise, they keep their heart-stopping types intact: long, stylized arms and legs and breasts in place and firm.
Although there may be some women who have this same luck (lucky), the truth is that it is not usual and women take it well to mark our belly when we wear layers of clothes on top but take off our clothes and show our white skin after a hard winter and our new curves… Well, that’s another story.
In general, the first day of exposure to the sun and swimming pool or beach is always hard but I assure you that with a good belly, some new stretch marks and the insecurities of a pregnant woman, things can get a little difficult. My advice? Patience. Be patient with that first time, consume a lot of fruit and vegetables to help get colorful soon and above all, look for bikinis and cute swimsuits that make that stage more pleasant!
Nowadays the possibilities are many and at frankly good prices, let’s see, they are always more expensive than swimwear that is not maternity but hey, for once we can make an exception and invest a little more money in them 😉
In my case, I have only gotten a black retro swimsuit with gathers in the belly area. Between this new acquisition and my usual bikinis, I intend to spend the summer. It is also true that when you are reading these lines we may already have our little one with us at home (hopefully!) Anyway, I take it for granted that it is not going to be my beach summer par excellence and that my figure will take time to return to its being so I think this swimsuit will come in handy for me 😉
If my son was born later and I had to plan to buy more swimwear, I would definitely get a white and navy striped sailor swimsuit (this one I show you has stolen my heart!) and some bikinis; yes, yes. I would not give up having a brown belly, but taking extreme precautions and abusing sunscreen very much (even more than usual ;)) Bikinis with high retro panties can be a good option.
As I have already told you on previous occasions and on different topics, the option of choosing a larger size than the one we usually use can be the perfect option if we do not want to give up wearing garments that are not maternity.
In any case, I will tell you that both Asos maternity and Kiabi have a very very interesting offer of swimsuits and bikinis for future moms. In case you want to take a look and see for yourself.
The perfect accessories to show off your belly by the sea or the pool?
A good sunscreen for the face and body, a hat or straw hat (it gives us the perfect touch and prevents us from unwanted stains on
the face) a nice caftan and a bottle of cool water that allows us to better cope with summer temperatures. Although, honestly, being soaking and enjoying a relaxing time, it already gets along much better, doesn’t it?
Enjoy the dips and show off the most beautiful curves in the world!
