Casualplay joins the Ponle Freno race for traffic victims
Casualplay has participated as a collaborating company in the emblematic Ponle Freno race in Madrid, held last Sunday with a resounding success of participation. More than 18,000 people walked the streets of the capital achieving a record collection: more than 250,000 euros to help victims of traffic accidents.
The race, which is held every year on the eve of the World Day of Victims in Traffic Accidents, began its journey in 2008 and has raised more than 2.4 million euros for projects with different organizations dedicated to helping victims of traffic accidents have a better quality of life or promote prevention and awareness initiatives. To date, nearly 300,000 runners have participated in one of the Ponle Freno races in their different modalities and places.
One of the great novelties of the event of this 15th anniversary has been the route of the 10-kilometer race, which has passed through the Puerta del Sol, an emblematic point of our roads, for being Kilometer 0 -the point of origin from which the distance of the radial roads of Spain begins to be counted- and also of PONLE FRENO, because it is the starting point from which it was born in 2008 and also the end it aspires to reach from that first day: leaving the victim counter at 0.
As a pioneering company in the development of child safety systems in our country, Casualplay wanted to contribute to this cause to raise awareness of the importance of road safety and offer support to victims of traffic accidents. Specifically, this year the proceeds will go to the National Hospital for Paraplegics in Toledo, from where work is being done so that those affected can have a better quality of life.
