Although lately the weather is not good, the truth is that we are in spring. We start shedding thicker outerwear that we substitute for <\/span>Trench <\/span><\/em>or trench coats, parkas and denim jackets (yes the one you’ve had for centuries and that you like more and more every year that passes).<\/p>\n

We do a small and almost <\/span>shy<\/span><\/em> changing the wardrobe to make the relevant replacements of clothes and footwear and adapt it a little more to these temperatures; without overdoing it, as I was saying, because the heat has not yet really made an appearance.<\/p>\n

This will be the picture of many women but what about those of us who are pregnant?<\/o_p><\/span><\/p>\n

Our case is somewhat peculiar because most likely (especially if you are in an advanced state as is my case) although the heat has not appeared with all its force, in our bodies it has haha. We have a particular micro climate, somewhat different from the rest of the population and we no longer need half the clothes we wore just a few weeks or a month ago. <\/o_p><\/span><\/p>\n

Specifically, I want to talk to you today about footwear: my particular <\/span>cross <\/span><\/em> right now. As will surely happen to many of the future moms who are reading me, I am suffering from a very common ailment: the dreaded and hated fluid retention. Oh yes friends, my time has come! And that is basically implying that for some time now I have not been able to wear closed shoes.
<\/o_p><\/span><\/p>\n

I already put away my boots, ankle boots and my sneakers because right now I can only aspire to wear ballerinas and shoes with something wide or Cuban heels <\/strong>(thank goodness I’ve always liked them! It was even the type of footwear I chose for my bridal look ;))<\/o_p><\/span><\/p>\n

And I must add that I am wishing with all my strength that the temperatures will rise a little so that I can start putting on my sandals; I suspect that despite the discomfort of the extra heat that I will notice, they will be my new best friends. Well, I mean the new best friends of my poor feet. <\/o_p><\/span><\/p>\n

In addition to how unsightly it is to have feet almost bigger than my head (you have to see how exaggerated I am ;)) it is something uncomfortable and at times I would say almost annoying. The heaviness, the loaded calves and that feeling of “elephant legs” that lives with me and that I don’t think will leave me until I have given birth. <\/span><\/p>\n

Large doses of patience, compression stockings, pressure therapy, massages with cold gel, salt water baths and extra pampering are my particular allies. In addition to giving up showing off feet and looking for the most comfortable footwear possible, as I told you a few lines above \ud83d\ude09 <\/o_p><\/span><\/p>\n
